Loch Lomond Single Malt 50 Year Scotch Whiskey

Loch Lomond Sm 50-Year-Old Scotch is a testament to the rich history and innovation of Loch Lomond Distillery. The legacy of this distillery dates back to 1814 when it was located at the north end of Loch Lomond near Tarbet (known as Tarbat). The original distillery's records are scarce, making it challenging to determine its exact closure date. However, Loch Lomond Distillery, as we know it today, was commissioned by the Littlemill Distilling Company in 1965 and witnessed its first distillation in 1966.

In 1984, the distillery temporarily ceased its operations but found a new lease of life when Alexander Bulloch and the Glen Catrine company acquired it in 1987. This revival led to the resumption of malt production and, in 1993, the introduction of grain whisky production. Loch Lomond Distillery stands out as a unique establishment, boasting a configuration of three sets of stills. This versatility has allowed the distillery to create a range of Special Edition Whiskies, including Single Grain Whisky and Deluxe Blends.
