Founded by Tad Seestedt in 1997, Ransom Spirits began as a dream backed by a small life savings and credit cards. The name "Ransom" symbolizes the financial sacrifices made to bring this dream to life. Initially producing grappa, eau de vie, brandy, and fine wines, Ransom Spirits ventured into grain-based spirits in 2007, adding gin, whiskey, and vodka to their repertoire. In 2010, the fusion of winemaking and distillation resulted in their first Dry Vermouth.

Located in the Willamette Valley, Oregon, Ransom Farms is a forty-acre certified Organic farm that incorporates sustainable practices and is home to an array of wildlife. The commitment to quality, sustainability, and terroir forms the foundation of Ransom Spirits' philosophy.
