Benromach Cask Strength 11 Year Single Malt Scotch Whiskey

Benromach Cask Strength 11-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a testament to the time-honored tradition and unique approach of the Benromach Distillery, which has been producing genuine Speyside single malts since 1898. A key aspect of Benromach's history is the revival of a pre-1960s Speyside tradition, in which distilleries would use local peat to dry malt when coal stocks were low. This practice imparted a balanced single malt with a subtle hint of smoke, and the decline of this tradition was largely attributed to commercial maltings. When Gordon & Macphail acquired the distillery in 1993, they committed to resurrecting this traditional style, which continues to define Benromach single malts. The distillery's dedication to craftsmanship is underscored by its use of Chapeltown Springs water from the Romach Hills, located just two miles from the distillery, and the expertise of three master distillers. All maturation takes place in first-fill sherry casks from William and Humbert in Spain and new oak casks from Antonio Paez Lobato. In addition to these exceptional practices, the Urquharts of Elgin family's remarkable private collection of beautifully aged single malts has contributed to the diverse and still handcrafted Benromach lineup.
