The name "Xicaru," meaning "beautiful" in Zapotec, reflects the heritage and artistry involved in creating this mezcal. Hand-harvested Espadín agave, cooked in an underground stone oven using mesquite and ocote wood, is naturally fermented and double-distilled in copper alembics, resulting in a mezcal that embodies the earthy, smoky, and vegetal flavors of Oaxaca’s terroir.
