It was a long, moderate year: 51 inches of rain refilled the soils, veraison came about two weeks late, and the abundant crop was picked between October 7 and 18. Wine Spectator (97 points) calls it \"the rare Napa Cab that seems intent on discretion,\" noting red and black currant, tobacco, loam and warm stone that open with air. Jeb Dunnuck also gave it 97 points for its purity and refinement.
