Aberfeldy 15 Year Old Bolgheri Red Wine Cask Finish is a luxurious expression in the acclaimed Wine Cask Series, showcasing the Highland distillery's signature honeyed richness elevated by the influence of prestigious Italian red wine. After 15 years of maturation, this single malt undergoes a finishing period in Tuscan Bolgheri red wine casks, renowned for bold, structured wines crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and other noble grape varietals.

This finishing imparts elegant layers of fruit and spice, enhancing Aberfeldy’s naturally sweet and smooth character with a rich, vinous complexity. Crafted with care, bottled without chill filtration, and free of artificial coloring, this whisky is a refined testament to time, terroir, and innovation.

Tasting Notes

Nose:
Inviting aromas of dark cherries, juicy plums, and red berries, gently supported by notes of dark chocolate, vanilla, and a whisper of nutmeg. The hallmark heather honey of Aberfeldy provides a soft, sweet backdrop.

Palate:
Silky and full-bodied. Rich waves of blackcurrant, cherry compote, and ripe fig unfold into flavors of cocoa, toffee, and vanilla bean, with a touch of spiced oak and a wine-like tannic grip that adds structure.

Finish:
Long and satisfying, with lingering notes of red fruit, velvety oak, and Aberfeldy's signature honeyed warmth.
