Acre Largo Tequila Blanco

Acre Largo Tequila Blanco comes from NOM 1580, Hacienda El Olvido in Jesús María, Los Altos, Jalisco, a distillery drawing on estate-grown Blue Weber agave from a 3,000-acre family property. Founded by brothers Seth and Zac Longaker out of Portland, Oregon and launched in 2022, the brand cooks its agave in brick and stone ovens, extracts the juice on a roller mill, and ferments it in open-air stainless tanks before a two-step distillation through stainless and copper pot stills. The spirit rests briefly in stainless before hand-bottling at the hacienda, with no additives in the process.

The result is a blanco built around cooked agave sweetness, opening with peppery spice, fresh agave, and a hint of lime zest on the nose. On the palate that agave sweetness takes the lead, carried by a satisfyingly viscous, smooth texture that layers in pepper and citrus. The finish settles into caramel sweetness with notes of dark cocoa, a longer, richer close than the bright opening suggests.

Acre Largo's small-batch, estate-to-bottle approach has already earned it a Double Gold at the 2023 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and a Gold at the 2023 Global Tequila & Mezcal Masters, making this an easy addition for anyone building out a blanco shelf.
