Acre Largo Tequila Reposado
Acre Largo Tequila Reposado is produced at NOM 1580, Hacienda El Olvido in Jesús María, Los Altos, Jalisco, from estate-grown agave cooked in brick ovens, crushed on a roller mill, fermented open-air in stainless steel, and distilled twice through copper stills. The reposado rests for eight months in 200-liter uncharred barrels sourced from Westward Whiskey, an American single malt distillery in Portland, Oregon — the first time these barrels have held tequila. The expression is additive-free and bottled from a single barrel as part of a small-batch release.
The uncharred, first-use barrels lend a subtle whiskey and oak influence without overpowering the agave underneath. On the palate, natural sweetness reminiscent of cooked agave and honey comes through clearly, with the barrel accentuating rather than masking the spirit's base character. The finish is well-integrated barrel spice that stays complex while remaining balanced through to the end.
Acre Largo Reposado's unusual whiskey-barrel pedigree and single-barrel bottling make it a distinctive addition to a collector's tequila lineup, and it pairs well alongside Liquor Geeks' other Los Altos and barrel-finished tequila selections. Ships to most US states. Adult-signature required at delivery.
