Three Blanton's you will not find on a U.S. shelf: the export 700 ml Single Barrel, the cask-strength Straight from the Barrel, and the green-label Special Reserve. Same Warehouse H, same horse-and-jockey stoppers, three different proofs.

The import trio is the fastest way to taste what Blanton's actually is beyond the one bottle America gets.

Tasting Notes

Color: Single Barrel is bright amber; Straight from the Barrel is a deeper copper at cask strength; Special Reserve (green label) is the lightest of the three.

Nose: Single Barrel: citrus, honey, vanilla and light oak. Straight from the Barrel: dark caramel, dried fruit, burnt sugar and oak. Special Reserve: gentle vanilla, orange and fresh grain.

Palate: Three Blanton's proofs from the same Warehouse H: Special Reserve is the softest and lightest at 80 proof; Single Barrel (93 proof) is the classic — creamy, honeyed, spicy; Straight from the Barrel is uncut and intense, with dark sugar and oak.

Finish: Short and sweet on the Special Reserve, medium and spicy on the Single Barrel, long and hot on Straight from the Barrel.
