Blanton's Special Reserve Bourbon Whiskey

This is single barrel Kentucky bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery, bottled at 80 proof and drawn barrel by barrel from Warehouse H, so each release can show subtle variations of its own. Within the Blanton's range it is the lighter, more approachable member, and this 700 ml bottle is the export version, originally produced for markets outside the United States. On the nose expect vanilla, caramel, citrus and soft florals over fresh oak. The palate brings honey, light caramel and gentle spice, finishing clean and mellow with lingering sweetness. That gentle profile makes it a natural first step into single barrel bourbon, while its export status and distinctive green label give collectors of the brand a reason to add it to the shelf.
