Bowmore Single Malt Scotch 12 Year Old Whiskey

Bowmore 12 Year Old is the entry point to one of Islay's oldest single malt Scotch whiskies, produced at Bowmore Distillery on the shore of Loch Indaal since 1779. This 12-year-old expression is matured in a combination of American oak ex-bourbon and Spanish oak ex-sherry casks, striking a signature balance between sweet vanilla, dried fruit, and gentle Islay peat smoke. Bottled at 40% ABV and presented in the brand's classic tall bottle.

On the nose expect lemon zest, dark honey, toasted almonds, and a soft wash of coastal peat smoke. The palate layers sweet sherry-driven fruit, vanilla, and chocolate with a restrained, gentle smoke that sits in the background rather than dominating. The finish is long and warming with lingering peat and a touch of sea spray. Serve in a tulip glass neat, with a few drops of water, or in a Rob Roy for a smoky twist on the classic.

Bowmore is regarded as Islay's first recorded distillery and still uses its original No. 1 Vaults warehouse, which sits below sea level and contributes a distinctive maritime character to every cask matured there.
