Bushmills Private Reserve 10 Year Old Amarone Cask is a limited release single malt Irish whiskey from Bushmills in Ireland. It is triple-distilled and aged 10 years in bourbon and sherry casks, then finished in Amarone wine casks, an Italian red wine cask style known for rich dried-fruit character.
The Amarone finish adds dark red fruit and a touch of wine-driven spice on top of the soft, orchard-fruit and honeyed malt character of triple-distilled Bushmills. Expect vanilla and toasted oak from the bourbon casks, nutty dried fruit from the sherry casks, and ripe berry and cocoa tones from the wine finish, carrying through to a long, gently tannic close.
