Casey Jones Amburana Finished Barrel Cut Whiskey comes from Casey Jones Distillery in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, where the spirit is run through square copper pot stills from a mash of corn and cane sugar. This expression is triple casked, finishing its maturation in Brazilian Amburana wood, and was released as part of the distillery's three-bottle 'The Finish Line' series, with each expression limited to a small run of bottles at launch.
The Amburana finish brings deep amber color to the glass alongside cinnamon and toasted oak on the nose. On the palate it opens into oatmeal-raisin cookie, butterscotch, and warm baking spice, carrying into a long, spiced finish with a lingering note of sweet oak.
With its limited production and distinctive Amburana wood finish, this bottle is a strong addition for collectors building out a Casey Jones lineup, and pairs well with Liquor Geeks' other small-batch and single-barrel American whiskeys.
