Chartreuse Cuvée des Meilleurs Ouvriers de France Sommeliers is a special proprietary blend of the legendary French herbal liqueur, produced by Chartreuse Diffusion and created in partnership with the Meilleurs Ouvriers de France Sommeliers, the association of France's most decorated sommeliers. The liqueur itself remains the work of the Carthusian monks, who still prepare their centuries-old secret recipe of alpine plants and botanicals, and this cuvée bears a title reserved for the very highest rank of French craftsmanship.
In the glass it shows a luminous yellow-green hue, opening with aromas of honeyed alpine herbs, fresh mint, anise, and candied citrus peel. The palate is silky and gently sweet, layering saffron-like spice, garden herbs, and pine-tinged botanicals before a long, warming finish of lingering mint and soft baking spice.
