Chateau Ksara Ksarak Arak
Chateau Ksara Ksarak Arak comes from Lebanon's oldest winery, founded in the Bekaa Valley in 1857 by Jesuit monks. Made from Obeidy and Ugni Blanc grapes fermented without additives, the spirit passes through three distillations — a column still run, an alembic redistillation with aniseed for the heart cut, and a final refining pass — before resting for 28 months in hand-made clay jars from Beit Chebab. The aniseed used comes exclusively from Al Heeneh on Mount Hermon, a detail tied closely to the character of the finished spirit.
Crystal clear in the glass, Ksarak louches to a milky white when water is added, releasing intense sweet anise alongside herbal notes, black licorice, and tarragon. The palate carries pronounced anise and gentle black pepper with subtle floral undertones and a velvety texture, finishing long and clean with minimal burn.
Ksarak is a distinctive addition for anyone building out a broader spirits collection, and it pairs naturally alongside Liquor Geeks' selection of other Mediterranean and craft spirits for gifting or entertaining. Ships to most US states. Adult-signature required at delivery.
