Cutwater Extra Añejo Tequila is a premium spirit meticulously crafted in Tequila, Mexico, using only 100% blue agave. This expression undergoes a traditional production process where the agave is slow-cooked in brick ovens, open fermented, and then double distilled in a blend of stainless and copper alambique stills. After distillation, the tequila is aged for over three years in Cutwater whiskey barrels sourced from the San Diego distillery, imparting unique flavor complexities. The bottle features a striking label adorned with the hand-drawn skull of Rayador, a Black Skimmer sea bird, which pays homage to classic Mexican folk art and embodies the essence of the Cutwater brand.
