Don Chinto Aztec Warrior Ceramic Tequila Anejo

Don Chinto Aztec Warrior is a hand-painted ceramic Añejo tequila from Compañía Tequilera Hacienda La Capilla in Capilla de Guadalupe, Jalisco, in the Los Altos region. The brand takes its name from Don Chinto, a 16th-century moonshiner said to have distilled on the grounds where the hacienda now stands, and the vessel itself is styled after Moche pottery, featuring a turquoise and gold headdress and a signature stirrup spout. Each bottle is made from 100% Tequilana Weber agave, cooked in an autoclave, extracted by roller mill, fermented in stainless steel, and distilled twice through copper pots.

This Añejo pours a warm amber and opens with cooked agave, caramel, vanilla, and a touch of light oak on the nose. On the palate it is rich and spicy, layering deep caramel tones with light sweetness for a profile the importer describes as distinctly bold. The finish carries that same warmth through with spiced caramel and oak lingering after each sip.

The ceramic vessel makes this bottle as much a display piece as a pour, appealing to collectors who appreciate agave spirits presented outside the standard glass bottle.
