El Gran Legado de Vida Tequila Reposado is distilled at the Cascahuín distillery (NOM 1123) from 100% Blue Weber agave, sharing its foundation with the brand's Blanco expression. After distillation, the spirit rests for a minimum of six months across a combination of American oak ex-bourbon barrels, sherry casks, and French oak ex-Cognac barrels — including single-fill Martell VSOP casks — a multi-cask maturation program that sets it apart from conventional reposados. No additives are used at any stage.
The nose opens with sweet cooked agave alongside vanilla and caramel, with light floral and fruity nuances drawn from the sherry and Cognac cask influence. On the palate, those cooked agave flavors develop into caramel and warm baking spice, with the French oak lending a subtle dried fruit depth. The finish is medium in length, returning to caramel and gentle oak with a lingering agave sweetness.
