Hillrock Solera Aged Bourbon Port Finish comes from Hillrock Estate Distillery, the Hudson Valley grain-to-glass producer known for aging its bourbon through a solera system before finishing select barrels in port casks. This expression carries that finishing process through to bottle, layering the distillery's signature solera-aged bourbon with the character imparted by port wood.
The port cask finish brings dried fruit and dark sugar notes to the bourbon's base of caramel and vanilla, rounding out the whiskey with a fuller, wine-influenced character alongside classic oak and spice from the barrel program.
