Hillrock Solera Aged Rum Cask Bourbon Whiskey is a distinctive and innovative American bourbon that blends traditional craftsmanship with rare aging techniques. Produced by Hillrock Estate Distillery, this expression is matured using a solera aging system — a method seldom used in American whiskey — where bourbons of varying ages are continuously layered and married to create exceptional depth and consistency.
Following its solera maturation in new American oak, the bourbon is finished in Barbados rum casks, introducing a subtle yet elegant layer of tropical sweetness. This finishing process enhances the whiskey’s natural richness while maintaining its core bourbon structure. Bottled at full strength and produced in limited quantities, this expression delivers a refined balance of bold flavor and nuanced complexity.
