Larceny Straight Bourbon Barrel Proof 6 Year Whiskey continues the rich tradition of the Old Fitzgerald brand, celebrating the legacy of John E. Fitzgerald, a Treasury agent known for "thieving" the best barrels of bourbon. This limited-edition offering is part of the growing family of award-winning wheated bourbons, and it stands out for its robust character and complex flavor profile. Unlike traditional bourbons that use rye as the secondary grain, Larceny uses wheat, which imparts a smoothness and roundness to the whiskey. Bottled at barrel proof, it offers an uncut, undiluted experience that highlights the depth and intensity of this premium wheated bourbon.

Tasting Notes

Nose: A rich, inviting aroma of molasses, brown sugar, and a touch of oak leads the way. There are hints of toasted nuts, caramel, and a faint wisp of vanilla that add complexity to the fragrance.

Palate: The flavor unfolds with a smooth, full-bodied mouthfeel, offering the sweetness of rich molasses, followed by deep notes of dried fig and roasted hazelnut. There’s a subtle hint of spice that adds a layer of warmth, but the overall taste remains balanced and harmonious.

Finish: The finish is long and warming, with lingering flavors of toffee, dark fruit, and a touch of cocoa. The warmth from the barrel proof gradually fades, leaving behind a smooth, slightly sweet aftertaste.
