Northstar was founded in Walla Walla with a single purpose, to make world-class Merlot from Washington's Columbia Valley. The 2022 vintage opens with black cherry, ripe plum, cedar and a hint of dark chocolate, then layers in red currant, cool mint and savory spice on a full, well-structured palate. Ripe tannins and balanced acidity carry a long, polished finish. Drink now through 2031. Only 4,497 cases made. Pour with grilled lamb, a ribeye or mushroom risotto. 750ml.
