Distilled in 2018 at DSP-KY-14 in Clermont, Kentucky, it rested a full seven years in new charred oak before being bottled at exactly 100 proof, meeting every requirement of the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897.
The famously rye-forward mash bill of 63% corn, 27% rye, and 10% malted barley honors Basil Hayden Sr., the "Old Grand-Dad" himself, delivering bold baking spice over sweet caramel and charred oak. The extra years in the barrel deepen the classic Old Grand-Dad character into something richer and rounder—a serious pour for bourbon drinkers who like their rye spice with real age behind it.
