Padre Azul Tequila Añejo
Padre Azul Tequila Añejo is produced at NOM 1466, Tequila Tres Mujeres in Amatitán, Jalisco, under master distiller Erika Sangeado. Made from 100% blue Weber agave that is brick-oven cooked and naturally fermented before double pot-distillation, this añejo rests a minimum of 18 months in hand-selected ex-bourbon American oak barrels. The bottle carries the brand's signature brown leather jacket with a pewter skull stopper.
The extended aging in ex-bourbon oak gives this añejo an amber color and a nose of vanilla, cooked agave, bourbon and toasted oak. On the palate, caramel, oak and cooked agave lead into vanilla, almond and cocoa, with cinnamon and caramelized nuts rounding out the profile. The finish is rich and sweet, lingering with notes of bourbon and dry oak.
The distinctive leather-wrapped bottle and skull stopper make this a standout addition to any home bar or collection, and it pairs well alongside other aged agave spirits in the Liquor Geeks tequila selection. Ships to most US states. Adult-signature required at delivery.
