Padre Azul Tequila Reposado

Padre Azul Tequila Reposado is produced at NOM 1466, Tequila Tres Mujeres, in Amatitán, Jalisco, under master distiller Erika Sangeado. The tequila is made from 100% blue Weber agave, brick-oven cooked and fermented with natural yeast, then double pot-distilled before resting a minimum of eight months in hand-selected, medium-char ex-bourbon American oak barrels. The bottle is dressed in a tan leather jacket topped with a gold skull stopper, a distinctive presentation that sets it apart on the shelf.

The extended barrel rest brings a pale gold color and a nose of vanilla, cooked agave, warm cinnamon, and a whisper of oak. On the palate, rich caramel, maple, and butterscotch layer over honey and warming baking spice, leading into a long, indulgent finish where lingering sweetness gives way to dry oak.
