Pantalones Tequila Blanco

This is an unaged blanco from Jalisco, made from 100% Blue Weber agave that the producer describes as organic, and bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof). It leans toward the softer, sweeter side of the style. On the nose you get cooked and raw agave up front, with caramel, light guava, lime and a gentle herbal thread. The palate follows with balanced, honeyed sweetness, cooked agave and silky caramel, tropical fruit undertones and a smooth vanilla finish. That profile makes it a friendly first blanco for someone who finds sharper, more peppery examples a bit much. It is also an easy pour for anyone who wants clear agave character without much bite. It earns its place behind the bar too, where its fruit and vanilla lift a Margarita, Paloma or Tequila Sunrise. We carry it because it does both jobs well. It is approachable enough to sip neat or over a large cube, bright enough to build drinks around, and honest about being exactly what it is: clean, unaged agave.
