Talisker 45 Year Old Parley Glacial Edge is an extraordinary expression of whisky crafted from Talisker’s wildest spirit. Aged for over four decades and finished in ice-fractured American White Oak casks, this whisky embodies the rugged maritime character of Talisker with an added element of Arctic intensity. Exposed to extreme conditions of -13°F (-25°C) in British Columbia, the casks develop a unique fracturing that reveals layers of untamed flavor. This rare whisky pays tribute to Talisker’s adventurous nature, offering a tasting experience that is both complex and full of depth, perfect for collectors and connoisseurs seeking something truly unique.

Tasting Notes

Nose: A vibrant and seasoned aroma of cedarwood and salty oak, accented by lime zest, pepper, and salt crystals. The complexity deepens with subtle hints of dried fruits, tobacco, citrus, and semi-ripe banana, creating a fragrant, perfumed bouquet.

Palate: Smooth and velvety, the palate delivers waves of sea influence with brine, seaweed, and a delightful interplay of honey, lemon, hazelnut, and vanilla. Rich notes of tobacco and orange peel combine with salted caramel, brown sugar, and a distinct touch of smoke and chili pepper heat.

Finish: Long, bright, and balanced, with a lively chili pepper spice, underscored by salt and sweetness reminiscent of salted caramels.
