The Macallan Classic Cut Limited 2024 Edition is the latest annual release in the distillery's Classic Cut series, a limited-edition line that revisits The Macallan's signature style at a bolder strength than the core range. Released once a year and never repeated, each edition draws on the Speyside house's hallmark maturation in sherry-seasoned oak casks, making the 2024 bottling a distinct chapter in a series collectors follow year over year.
The liquid leads with rich vanilla and candied orange peel, opening into baked orchard fruit, toasted oak, and a run of ginger and nutmeg spice. The higher bottling strength carries the sherry-cask sweetness with real intensity, while a drop of water softens the delivery and draws out honeyed citrus and creamy oak through a long, warming finish.
