Zumbador Tequila Blanco is produced at Destilería El Sabino (NOM 1643) in Jesús María, in the highlands of Jalisco's Altos region, by the López family — fourth-generation agave growers farming more than 1,000 acres of Blue Weber agave at roughly 6,900 feet elevation. Agave plants are allowed to mature for approximately 5.5 years before harvest, yielding piñas with concentrated natural sugars and pronounced terroir character. The cooked agave is slow-roasted in traditional stone and brick hornos, then extracted via a volcanic tahona wheel; the blanco is bottled additive-free, certified 100% agave.

The highland elevation and tahona process come through clearly in the glass. The nose opens with fresh-cut agave, white citrus zest, white pepper, and a thread of wildflowers over a mineral undercurrent tied to the estate's limestone-rich soil. On the palate, cooked agave sweetness is balanced by the same limestone minerality and light herbal spice. The finish is clean and moderate in length, trailing off on citrus peel and a lingering mineral echo. Reviewers at Imbibe and Tequila Report have noted the expression outperforms bottles at significantly higher price points.

For fans of highland-style and terroir-driven tequilas, Zumbador Blanco anchors a compelling agave-focused gift set or tasting flight alongside a reposado or añejo from the same region. Explore the broader tequila and agave selection at Liquor Geeks for further pairings. Ships to most US states. Adult-signature required at delivery.
