Blanton's Gold Single Barrel Bourbon is a masterpiece born from the visionary mind of Master Distiller Elmer T. Lee in 1984. Approaching retirement, Lee set out to create a bourbon of unparalleled quality, drawing inspiration from his formative years working under Colonel Albert B. Blanton in the late 1940s. Blanton, the former president of the distillery until 1952, left an indelible mark on Lee, leading to the creation of Blanton's Single Barrel. Blanton's Gold represents the pinnacle of this legacy, a single barrel bourbon that epitomizes the commitment to excellence and craftsmanship.

Tasting Notes

This expression of Blanton's is a sensory delight, offering a rich and complex array of flavors. The nose reveals a symphony of caramel, vanilla, and a touch of honey, accompanied by subtle notes of oak and spice. On the palate, the bourbon unfolds with layers of toffee, dark chocolate, and dried fruits, complemented by a hint of warm baking spices. The mouthfeel is luscious and full-bodied, leading to a finish that lingers with a perfect balance of sweetness and oak, leaving a lasting impression of sophistication.
