El Jolgorio Coyote Mezcal is a rare gem within the renowned El Jolgorio Special Release series. Crafted with utmost dedication, it showcases the expertise of Pedro Vasquez and his family, who carefully harvest wild agaves near their remote mountain distillery in the rugged, untamed terrain of Lachigui, located in the southern district of Miahuatlán. Lachigui stands as a hidden oasis in the world of mezcal, where Pedro cultivates an eclectic array of agave varieties, ultimately producing some of the most sought-after mezcals in the industry. One of his most exceptional creations, El Jolgorio Coyote, shines brightly as an expression of the agave Coyote, a sub-variety of the agave Americana species (var. Oaxacensis) known for its slow maturation process, which can span up to 16 years.
