Knob Creek 18 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

This is Kentucky straight bourbon given a long rest: 18 years in new charred oak, bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV) from a mash bill of 77% corn, 13% rye and 10% malted barley. Knob Creek released it in 2022 as a limited edition, small-batch bottling to mark the brand's 30th anniversary, and it is made at the Jim Beam Distillery. In the glass it is rich and well-rounded, with oak and toasted oak leading into caramel, vanilla and brown sugar, then rye and baking spice keeping the sweetness in check.
