Lost Lore Tequila Tahona Blanco

Lost Lore Tequila Tahona Blanco is the only tahona expression in the Lost Lore range, produced at NOM 1414, Feliciano Vivanco y Asociados, in Los Altos, Jalisco under Master Distiller Sergio Cruz. The tequila is made from 100% Tequilana Weber agave grown in Los Altos, cooked in an open stone and brick oven, then crushed on a volcanic-stone tahona wheel before stainless open-air fermentation with champagne yeast and double distillation through copper pots. Bottled unaged with no additives, this release is limited to 2,000 numbered bottles, each carrying its own edition number.

The tahona extraction shows through in a textured, mineral-driven profile. Cooked agave leads the nose alongside earthy notes of wet stone and fresh-cut grass, with a trace of olive brine underneath. On the palate the agave sweetness turns vivid and lively, layered with citrus zest, a touch of black pepper, and a saline backbone that carries the tahona character through to a clean, sharp finish of lingering agave and a crisp mineral fade.
