The “Le Pavillon” Rouge 2013 from M. Chapoutier is a legendary single-vineyard Syrah from the iconic Hermitage hill in the Rhône Valley. Sourced from a historic 4-hectare parcel with granitic subsoils, this cuvée is produced from exceptionally old vines—often 90 to 100 years in age—yielding wines of remarkable concentration and depth.
Under the stewardship of Michel Chapoutier, the estate has become synonymous with terroir-driven excellence and biodynamic principles. “Le Pavillon” represents the pinnacle of Hermitage Syrah, crafted with meticulous attention—from hand-harvesting at optimal ripeness to extended maceration and aging in oak casks.
The 2013 vintage offers a refined and classic expression, balancing power with elegance and showcasing the profound aging potential of this exceptional terroir.
