Padre Azul Artist Edition Double Barrel Tequila Añejo is a limited release of 3,000 bottles worldwide, part of the brand's 2023 artist series. The bottle features artwork by street artist Luis Morales de la Cruz, drawing on themes of Mexican culture and the tequila-making process, and is finished with a pewter skull stopper and a printed leather jacket. A portion of proceeds from the release supports La Casa de Jesús y María A.C., a children's home in Zapopan.

Made from 100% blue Weber agave at NOM 1466 (Tequila Tres Mujeres) in Amatitán, Jalisco, this añejo rests for six months in ex-bourbon American oak before a second maturation of eleven months in an additional oak barrel. The double barrel process yields a deep amber tequila with aromas of dark chocolate, dried fruit, and pink peppercorn alongside a hint of fermented passion fruit. On the palate it is smooth and velvety, layering honey and vanilla cream against a touch of white pepper, and finishes long with a balance of sweetness and spice.
