The Ryujin Red Dragon Mizunara Cask Japanese Whisky is the newest release in Aiko Importers' Ryujin decanter line, presented in a hand-glazed red-and-gold ceramic dragon figurine bottle. Housed in a large red and white windowed display box, the piece is built as much for display as for pouring, continuing the Ryujin series' collector-focused approach to Japanese whisky presentation.
Finished in Mizunara oak, the whisky shows gold in the glass with a whisky-forward nose of bright grain and citrus. On the palate it is medium-bodied, offering graham cracker, vanilla, and butterscotch alongside mandarin orange, finishing smooth with toasted oak, gentle spice, and subtle sweetness.
