Skorpios 1618 Tequila Añejo
Skorpios 1618 Tequila Añejo is produced at NOM 1522, Hacienda de Oro, in Amatitán within the Los Valles region of Jalisco. Single-estate agaves aged 7 to 10 years are slow-cooked in traditional brick ovens, crushed on a roller mill, and fermented in the open air before undergoing double distillation in copper pot stills, with no additives used at any stage. The añejo spends 18 to 24 months resting in medium-char American bourbon barrels, and the finished spirit is presented in a bronze and gold ceramic bottle shaped as a coiled snake.
The extended time in bourbon wood shows immediately in the glass, with a deep amber color leading into a nose of caramel, vanilla, prune, dates, and orange peel. On the palate, cooked agave meets pronounced wood notes alongside fruit, nuts, and sweet bourbon-barrel character, closing in a finish that is ultra-smooth and delicate, with a natural, lingering oak that carries well after the last sip.
The sculptural ceramic bottle and extended barrel aging make this añejo a standout for a tequila collection or a milestone gift, and it pairs well alongside Liquor Geeks' other aged and extra añejo tequila selections for anyone building out a shelf. Ships to most US states. Adult-signature required at delivery.
