Big, bold, and unapologetically intense, Smoke Wagon Malted Straight Rye Whiskey pushes the boundaries of traditional rye with a unique mash bill of 51% rye and 49% malted barley. This high proportion of malted barley brings a rich, creamy dimension rarely found in rye whiskey, allowing layers of sweet cereal, caramel, and warm malt character to take center stage from the very first sip.

Bottled at cask strength, this Nevada-crafted whiskey delivers full-throttle flavor with no dilution of character. The marriage of spicy rye and deeply flavorful malted barley creates a dynamic profile—balancing sweetness, smoke, and peppery heat in a way that feels both rugged and refined. It’s a powerhouse expression designed for drinkers who crave intensity and complexity in equal measure.

Tasting Notes

Nose
Inviting and expressive with waves of sweet malt, caramel cream, toasted cereal grains, and light oak. Subtle hints of brown sugar and baked bread mingle with a gentle whisper of smoke.

Palate
Rich and mouth-coating—malted barley leads with creamy caramel, honeyed grain, and warm biscuit notes. Mid-palate brings classic rye vibrancy with cinnamon candy, clove, and toasted oak, all wrapped in a luxuriously full texture.

Finish
Long and powerful. The rye asserts itself with bold black pepper and fiery cinnamon spice, while the malted barley contributes smoky, roasted undertones. Cask strength amplifies the intensity, leaving a lingering warmth of sweet grain and dry oak.
