Starward Single Malt Whisky Peated Finish 4 Yr embodies the innovative spirit of Starward, seamlessly blending the new world Australian approach with the esteemed old world Scottish expertise. This expression, aptly named Unexpeated, is a red wine barrel-aged Australian Single Malt Whisky that undergoes a unique finishing process in peated whisky-drenched barrels sourced from the finest distilleries in Islay, Scotland. This groundbreaking fusion introduces whisky enthusiasts to Starward's signature fruit-forward style, now enhanced with coastal, peaty, and smoky flavors. Unexpeated is a testament to the unparalleled craftsmanship that defines Starward and promises a tasting experience that is truly one-of-a-kind.

Tasting Notes

Nose: The aroma is a harmonious blend of tropical fruits, toasted oak, and a subtle hint of sweet peat. This intriguing combination sets the stage for a complex and layered tasting journey.
Palate: The palate unfolds with the richness of ripe red berries, complemented by the coastal peat smoke that imparts a distinctive character. Notes of yellow peaches add a touch of sweetness, while cocoa nibs contribute to the depth of flavors. The fusion of these elements creates a dynamic and captivating palate.
Finish: The finish is a gradual evolution, with oak slowly drying the palate. A long peated finish lingers, leaving a lasting impression that invites contemplation and appreciation of the whisky's intricate layers.
