Established in 1966 in the picturesque village of Tomnavoulin, Scotland, the distillery went through a period of closure in 1995 only to be reawakened in 2007 with a significant refurbishment. This single malt whisky captures the essence of Speyside with its rich, smooth, and mellow character, a true reflection of the passion and dedication of the 12 skilled artisans at Tamnavulin.

The name Tamnavulin, meaning 'mill on the hill' in Gaelic, pays homage to the historic carding mill that once stood on the distillery grounds. The village of Tomnavoulin, nestled in the Cairngorm mountain range, serves as the idyllic home to Tamnavulin Distillery, contributing to the unique microclimate that influences the whisky's distinctive profile.
