Tequila Providencia Blanco
Tequila Providencia Blanco comes from NOM 1465, a family-run distillery in Arandas, in the highlands of Los Altos, Jalisco. Founded by Rodd Rafieha and Mookie Betts and launched in January 2026, the brand is built around single-NOM small-batch production overseen by master distiller Diego Ramírez L. The tequila is made from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the region's red-clay highland soil, slow-roasted in traditional ovens, fermented naturally in open-air stainless steel tanks, and distilled twice in stainless steel pot stills, with no added sugars, flavorings, or glycerin.
The blanco pours crystal clear and opens with light green cooked agave, a subtle salinity, and herbal top notes on the nose. On the palate it shows a cooling, minty sensation alongside light black pepper and a touch of cinnamon, finishing clean with lingering pepper and roasted agave notes.
Housed in a ceramic agave-piña decanter with a white glaze and gold cap, this bottle stands out on a bar cart or agave-spirits shelf and makes a distinctive gift for a tequila collector.
