This exceptional whisky was distilled on December 6, 1970, and matured undisturbed for over half a century in its original barrel. This unique Single Malt Scotch offers a remarkable journey through time, capturing the essence of Glenrothes' storied craftsmanship and the natural alchemy that occurs within each individual cask. Each of the three sibling casks yields a slightly different whisky, reflecting the subtle variations and nuances imparted by their unique maturation environments.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Deep amber, showcasing its long aging process.

Nose: The first note on the nose evokes the distinct aroma of smoky, wet wood, reminiscent of a campfire interrupted by rain. This is followed by rich notes of vanilla, cooked bananas, and a hint of sandalwood. Subtle touches of dried fruits add depth to the aromatic profile.

Palate: The palate is a delightful complexity of vibrant and fruity flavors, featuring fresh berries and tropical fruits. Underneath, a dark undertone of oak tannins and smoke is balanced by gentle spices, creating a layered and sophisticated tasting experience.

Finish: The finish is exceptionally long, with gentle spices and lingering touches of fruit and smoke. This enduring finale leaves a lasting impression of the whisky's intricate character and maturation.
