Tasting Notes

Citrus: The first sip reveals a burst of citrus notes, reminiscent of ripe oranges and zesty limes. The bright citrus undertones add a refreshing and lively element to the mezcal's profile.
Jalapeno: As the flavor unfolds, a subtle but invigorating hint of jalapeño emerges. This mild, green pepper flavor brings a gentle heat that harmonizes with the other elements, creating a balanced and intriguing palate.
Smoke: The hallmark of many fine mezcals, a smoky essence is present in this Ensamble Mezcal. It carries with it the rich, earthy aroma of the traditional horno's oak wood, adding depth and complexity to the overall experience.
White Pepper: White pepper adds a delicate spiciness, complementing the mezcal's other flavors. It dances on the tongue, providing a subtle kick without overwhelming the senses.
Mineral: The mezcal exhibits mineral qualities, which lend a certain gravitas to the flavor profile. It is a testament to the unique terroir of the Sierra Sur region in Oaxaca where the agave plants are grown.
Earth: A grounding earthiness connects you to the land where this mezcal is born. It encapsulates the essence of the agave plants, the earth they grow in, and the care with which they are cultivated.
Salt: A gentle saline note rounds out the tasting experience, evoking the coastal breezes that may have influenced the agave's growth.
