Released as part of World Whiskey Society's Reserve Collection, this bottling draws from a single refill hogshead — cask number 994 — filled at The Macallan Distillery in Speyside on 23 January 1990 and left to mature for 33 years. Presented in a rose-gold metallised, Gothic-style decanter with a crown stopper and housed in a black leather display case with certificate, it is a one-cask release with no comparable expression on the shelf. The whisky is bottled at natural cask strength, non-chill-filtered and without added caramel colouring, from a mash bill of 100% malted barley.

The color runs a natural yellow honey gold. On the nose, a delicate chalky minerality meets tender floral notes and lingering citrus, with fruity gooseberry and a whimsical bubblegum character emerging as the whisky is cooled. The palate is silky and layered, with marauding tangy vanillas unfolding into a captivating, evolving complexity across a medium body. The finish settles into late butterscotch richness with subtle oak and lingering warmth.
