Unlike the richer and more opulent style of Bâtard-Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet is celebrated for its finesse, tension, and almost weightless elegance. Domaine Leflaive, a pioneer of biodynamic viticulture since the 1990s, crafts this wine with meticulous care—fermenting in oak barrels and aging for 18 months to build texture while preserving purity.
The challenging 2021 vintage, marked by frost and cooler conditions, resulted in lower yields but exceptional concentration, freshness, and definition—perfectly suited to this high-altitude terroir.
