Glen Scotia Single Malt Scotch Whisky 10-Year-Old pays homage to the illustrious history of whisky-making on the Campbeltown peninsula, a tradition dating back to 1636. Nestled near the ancient parliament square of Campbeltown, Glen Scotia stands as one of the last bastions of a once-thriving whisky capital. With a rich heritage that intertwines illicit production, the ingenious work of the Armour family, and the unique qualities of Campbeltown, this expression invites you on a journey through time.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Deep amber, reminiscent of the rich history and maturity encapsulated within.
Nose: The aroma is a symphony of coastal influences and peat, echoing the historical illicit whisky production. Notes of brine and sea air intertwine with the sweetness of malted barley, while hints of peat smoke add depth and character. Delicate traces of dried fruits and oak tell tales of time spent maturing in the cask.
Palate: Glen Scotia 10-Year-Old unfolds on the palate with a harmonious blend of flavors. Robust maltiness takes center stage, accompanied by a gentle smokiness that pays homage to Campbeltown's peat-rich terroir. Orchard fruits, vanilla, and a subtle brininess create a complex profile, showcasing the whisky's evolution over a decade of maturation.
Finish: The finish is enduring and satisfying, leaving traces of oak, lingering peat, and a touch of maritime saltiness. A nod to the resilience of Campbeltown's whisky heritage.
