Lecompte Calvados Pays d'Auge is an apple brandy from Normandy, France, distilled and aged for five years under the strict standards of the Pays d'Auge appellation, the region's most tightly regulated calvados designation. The Pays d'Auge classification requires double distillation in traditional copper pot stills, a method that sets it apart from calvados made elsewhere in Normandy.
Distilled from a blend of Normandy cider apples and pears, this calvados carries the warm, orchard-driven character typical of the category, with baked apple and orchard fruit notes deepened by extended barrel aging. Bottled at 80 proof, it shows the balance of fruit-forward sweetness and oak-derived structure that comes from years spent resting in cask.
