Maestro Dobel 50 Anniversary 1968 Extra Añejo Tequila is part of the Maestro Dobel 50 Collection, a vintage series of extra añejo releases spanning 1967 through 1973. Each year in the collection is released as its own bottling, and the 1968 edition arrives in a glass-stoppered decanter with a presentation box from Proximo Spirits.
As an extra añejo, the liquid leans into the oak-influenced side of tequila: expect cooked agave sweetness layered with vanilla, caramel, toasted oak, and baking spice, with a long, warming finish that rewards slow sipping rather than mixing.
The decanter and box make this a natural gift for tequila collectors and anyone building out a vintage-series shelf.
