This year’s release is crafted from a thoughtful blend of 11-, 13-, and 14-year-old barrels, each chosen for the richness, maturity, and harmony they bring to the final whiskey.

After beginning life in traditional Kentucky rickhouses, the barrels are transferred to Maker’s Mark’s limestone cellar, carved into the natural hillside. In this cooler, more stable climate, maturation slows and deepens, preserving sweetness while allowing flavor to develop with remarkable precision. Bottled at cask strength—112.9 proof (56.45% ABV)—the 2025 release delivers a deeper, darker interpretation of Maker’s Mark: fruit-forward, richly layered, and beautifully refined, with all the warmth of age and none of the bitterness. It’s a testament to aging “to taste, not time,” and to continually reimagining what mature Maker’s Mark can be.
