Redbreast Moscatel Wine Cask Edition is the fifth release in Redbreast’s acclaimed Iberian Series, a collection inspired by the house’s historic links to the Iberian Peninsula and Gilbey’s legacy of importing fortified wines since the late 1800s. This limited-edition expression brings a bright Mediterranean character to Redbreast’s signature Single Pot Still style.

Finished in rare Moscatel wine casks sourced from the sun-drenched hills of Málaga, Spain, this whiskey is the result of a close partnership with Bodegas Quitapenas, a family-owned bodega established in 1880. The Moscatel wine, aged for 24 months in American oak, imparts floral elegance and vibrant fruit notes to the casks before they are transported to Midleton Distillery. Since 2024, Redbreast Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey has been maturing in these casks, absorbing their fragrant, honeyed influence.

The result is a rich yet refined expression that marries Redbreast’s creamy, pot still depth with lifted aromas of citrus, orchard fruit, and delicate sweetness—an evocative meeting of Irish tradition and Mediterranean warmth.
